my new job is at a seed lab, here’s a small compilation of aesthetically pleasing seeds I’ve encountered so far. the colors come from the chemicals they’re coated in to make them more resistant against certain fungal and bacterial pests; we have to wear gloves to handle the more heavily coated ones.
the pink seeds are pepper seeds being prepped for bacterial testing, the green ones are melon seeds being prepped for fungal testing, and the iridescent blue ones are onions also being tested for bacteria.
