Not only do I LOVE this, but um, I saw this at a used bookstore earlier today (yes, while vainly checking for certain DS9 spin-off novels) and:
TWO OF THE MOST POWERFUL FORCES IN THE UNIVERSE ARE ABOUT TO COLLIDE
(… yeah, I bought it.)
Q-in-Law is genuinely one of the most delightful ST books I’ve ever read.
Okay, but do you know the behind the scenes element of Q-in-Law? Peter David was having issues getting it published, with the studio not sending him any editorial notes on it, effectively turning him down, so he went direct to Majel Barrett at a convention. She asked to read the manuscript, and proceeded to go to the Paramount offices, GUSHING about it. Within days, he got the comments from the office.
Also the audiobook version actually has Majel Barrett AND John de Lancie reading it.
Seriously, if you’re a Trek fan, you can’t go wrong with this book.
I own this, and it is great. And I hadn’t heard the last bit. Wonderful.
I just had the most hardcore nerd flashback of my LIFE this book was amazing and I had forgotten about it completely until just now.
the show did a bad job at leading up to the finale
I wanna watch the finale but at the same time, I have no idea what’s going on and what episodes I should watch that connects itself to the end because most of the time when I did watch AT, they were fillers
the most important episodes you should watch are The Wild Hunt, Seventeen, Bonnibel Bubblegum, Temple of Mars and Gumbaldia.
I will wish most of the season was spent on the gradual build up rather than making the antagonists OP right off the bat and most of the lore was dedicated to the first half of the season but… i really cant change anything now
