if you don’t have access to poorly-secured and un-backed-up debt records, you can help do this via legitimate means by donating to rollingjubilee.org– they buy debt (the way debt collectors do, for steeply discounted prices – like $20 to buy $500 in outstanding debt owed by someone) and just… forgive it, so it doesn’t need to be paid by the person on whom it’s a burden.
Spent more time on this then I’d like to admit. But I am happy how it came out. I wanted to try a more rough gray scale look to the piece. Though I am tempted to do full on color. Anyways I was always curious how Princess Zelda became Shiek and I dunno I have a lot of ideas on how Impa trained Zelda. This is just a thought of what happened the day after Zelda and Shiek Escaped the castle.
Basically Zelda wakes up in a make shift camp and see some weapons laid about. Zelda picks the bow and arrow and fails at shooting and resolves to be a person worthy of helping save Hyrule. I have more ideas planned but for now here is this. I hope you all enjoy! Also a big thanks to Tresity for the inspiration to try more comics!
Ok so I’ve been playing for 18 years and i’m a string teacher. Can i just say how IMPORTANT it is for young kids to see a BLACK, MALE-PRESENTING PERSON playing, nae, SHREDDING on a violin? I’ve know maybe 5 black people who played stringed instruments throughout my schooling and teaching (predumably because i’m an upper middle class white woman). In districts where the population is predominantly black, funding is always low, so the instruments are crappy. Kids quit, or the program is dismantled. I’ve seen very few professional string players who are black.
Obviously there are black string players. We just don’t see them because they “don’t look like” string players.
This person is the real deal. They were clearly trained, and seems to have some fiddle training as well. How cool is that?
Put him under the spotlight. Make him an icon. The world needs this.
