Poor Noctis, traumatized by Kenny Crow

Noctis: Looks like the empire knows my weakness…

Y’jhimei: Oh, are you admiring that big, black apkallu over there? Isn’t he the cutest thing!? Ooh I just wanna take him home with me!

Noctis: No, no, and let me say from experience you do NOT want to get near that thing.

Yooooooo if you need ACA get on that shit!!

For the record? As a self-employed small business owner with a preexisting condition, my pre-ACA health insurace suuuuuuuuucked. My current plan actually provides substantially better coverage than the old one and costs half as much. I only wish I’d done it sooner– getting on the exchange was, tbh, entirely a spite-motivated action on my part, and probably the sole positive impact of 45′s presidency on my life.

Please boost. ACA/Obamacare sign-up for next year ends December 15.

If you live in the DC area registration is open until Jan 31th

[Image Description: 9 squares in shades of purple and green. The center reads, “2018 Queer Holiday Gift Guide.” From top to bottom, the squares are a jar of bath salts, a book, a camera and paintbrush, an iced coffee and paintbrush, a green carnation with “MQH” over, a bracelet and earrings, and a tarot card, needle, and thread.]

A shop offering queer tarot, including A Queerer Tarot, hand-embroidery, fabric, wallpaper, and gift wrap. Their Color Theory Oracle Deck is currently available on Kickstarter.

7. Coffee and the Artist

Of course, the Making Queer History shop; the perfect place to find all your queer goodies all year round.

We apologize for the lateness; we know Hanukkah is in full swing and gifts of all sorts are already being bought, and we’ll be preparing earlier next year.

Tips for being good in Pvp

  • I want to go on record and say that status conditions used to be a really handy trick but I’ve noticed those are failing more and more so I think they nerfed them, though I sure as heck can’t confirm it.

Either way if you’re going to use them use paralysis. It’s the best one. Triple Threat is even better. Also use the max ones not the regular ones.

And you have to do it twice because most people have Esuna (duh). The best way is if you can get all three keyblades to have a status medal but that’s not always an option. Usually I put status medals on keyblades with double attacks so that I don’t have to have the entire keyblade be dedicated to status conditions. If you’re on defense you want the second status effect to be on the middle keyblade (because when people choose to fight you you go first on that turn), when you’re attacking them you want it on the third.

  • ALWAYS HAVE DEFENSE BOOST IV MAX IF YOU HAVE IT, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DEFENSE BOOST III MAX WON’T GET YOU VERY FAR. IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW OP YOU THINK YOU ARE; YOU PUT YOURSELF AT MAJOR RISK WITHOUT IT. I HAVE BEATEN SEPHIROTHS BECAUSE THE OTHER PERSON DIDN’T HAVE DEFENSE BOOST IV MAX. EVEN BETTER IF YOU CAN ALSO INCLUDE A HIGHER DEFENSE BOOST AS WELL. I always put mine on the kairis just more convenient that way.
  • The foreteller ex+, stain glass ex+, and Kairi/Xion ex+ don’t stack so put them at the very front of the keyblade. You put them anywhere else and they’ll reset your buffs and the enemy’s debuffs. See this post for more detail. http://khfriendlyreminders.tumblr.com/post/180929514345/friendly-reminder-that-kairi-ex-xion-ex-and
  • Pick your opponents wisely. If you don’t like any of the three options given to you hit the x button and try again. Only pick people you might have a chance against. You still might lose but you’ll increase your chances of winning and climbing the ranks.
  • Try to get up to max buffs and debuffs as quickly as possible but if you can’t, it’s fine. It’s pretty tricky to do so right now. Just do your best. Also don’t forget lowering defense.
  • Make sure whatever your spread is that it’s not gonna drop your ap to zero. I haven’t seen this often but I have seen it a few times.
