it’s so strange how relevant at least somewhat-modern technology is kh, at least past kh1. CoM arguably paved that path, with its cards encoded from memories. kh2 saw space paranoids and its intertwined destiny with hollow bastion, and the cavern of remembrance in final mix. I don’t even need to say anything about re:coded.

this is my long winded way of saying that i occasionally remember that xehanort knows very well how to use a computer, evidenced a little bit in kh2fm in the added scenes, and used to drive a point home in kh3d during sora’s path in the grid.

i mean, i understand that he’s a researcher, but the fact that kingdom hearts has this technology, and that an entire person can be converted into data, or at least copied, is a really strange thing to remember, even though kh2 starts inside a computer simulation

20. Magical Mystery (Project Destati: DARKNESS)

As is often the case, it’s usually the shortest tracks from the OST that are the most fun to work on. This arrangement of “Magical Mystery” mostly grew out of tonicizing the melody in and out of its original mode while trying to figure out a way to entangle it with the ever-famous symphonic poem, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” (Dukas, 1897).

Hopefully, you’ll find yourself enjoying the surprising compatability of these two melodies, as Yen Sid would!
