Summary:

Luxord is an undead creature, soulless, a demon hunter capable of going toe to toe with the biggest and baddest in New Orleans. He’s also paying Doctor Facilier a gemstone an hour to take him to the best restaurants in the French Quarter while he gossips about his annoying co-workers, and trains Facilier in magic – real magic, not sleight of hand – in preparation for recruitment into Luxord’s Organization. It’s Facilier’s favorite job.

But the keyblade has chosen a wielder, and now Luxord must balance his duties observing Sora and his desire to bask in Facilier’s presence. The days are counting down to when Facilier realizes what helping the Organization really entails…

When BBS was still in development, did someone forget what a meteor shower represented in Kingdom Hearts? Ven is happy to see one, but KH1 said they represented worlds falling to darkness. Unless that was purely accidental, I have to assume Ven is a sadist who loves to watch millions of lives get extinguished.

Okay I just woke up so my sleep riddled brain might be wrong but I think you’re confusing a star going out with a falling star. In the first game, when a world falls to darkness a star goes out. If I remember correctly this means it flickers a few times and then vanishes from the sky. Also while they say there’s a world for every star in the sky, I think this is partially metaphorical. There are stars in the Kh verse; I know this because suns exist.

I’ll fact check this later when I’m a bit more awake but it’s an early scene in the game right after Sora fights Darkside. Goofy points to the sky in Traverse Town and says “look, a star’s goin’ out” which is implied to be Destiny Island.

Actually the one time we see a proper shower of light in KH1 is in the ending sequence of when everything is being restored. So it’s might be more along the lines of worlds being reborn or something equally hopeful if we’re basing it on past experiences.

Or, if the intro sequence is to believed (Ventus being a falling star), maybe it’s people that escaped the destruction of a world and are scattering like Sora & co. did in KH1.

Or it could just be actual space rocks burning in the atmosphere, who knows!

The meteor showers signify that the borders surrounding a world have broken, and the falling debris are gummi blocks. Of course, it could also be just regular asteroids in the atmosphere.
