im propose: the ice area in hollow bastion castle was even’s playground that he’d make for ienzo to play on. ienzo designed the library puzzles when he was seven and ansem/even/aeleus helped set them up. dilan and braig designed the elevator system and made it as obtuse as possible to mess with everyone. THIS IS WHY NO ONE WANTS TO VISIT THIS CASTLE FOR OFFICIAL ROYAL STUFF YOU GUYS!!!

this is so true. there is no way those elevators were made by people who had any plans of ever using them in daily life

braig: twenty years you’ve known me, and you dont want to use my elevators

even: they literally dont have railings

aeleus: ienzo fell off and the only thing that saved him was a well timed float spell and dilan carryign the laundry basket in the right time and place

dilan: in my defense, i designed them without railings to get braig to fall off

and this is why braig (space powers) and dilan (cna fly with wind powers) were not allowed to help build the castle that never was.
